“Photography creates a small eternity for me,” I once said in an interview with art berlin. For two decades, I’ve been occupied with art projects to awaken life and lending them a lasting aura. In this case, passion and precision keep the balance, after the motto “empathy meets quality”.
The written word and images have always both been important to me, as I not only studied literature and philosophy, but also art history. My master thesis was about today’s importance of Plato’s image concept; in one novel, I described the film scene in Los Angeles; and for many years I led an editorial staff of writers, as well as photo editors, graphic designer, and fashion people. The adventure, to found a gallery, brought me to acquiring the taste of curating exhibitions. A new world had then opened: the space. I felt, that it was time to connect all my interests into an agency: with barthouse, I found the matching label.
barthouse culture concepts brings text, images and space into harmony. We take care of publications, organize exhibitions and culture events. In our teams, there are experts from all areas – for production and design, for guest management and marketing, for the textual and visual. We work for companies, publishing houses, galleries, museums, and other institutions. We build up collections, provide artworks, consult artists. And because it is important to return something to the cosmos, we engage with young people and charity projects.
